You would be losing money because the ball isn't for losing weight.

You can't lose weight without getting and keeping your heart rate up and pumping for 15-30 mins a day. You heart rate needs to be in it's 65-85% max range at all times while you workout when you are trying to burn fat.

(Your max heart rate is 220 minus your age.. then you multiply it separtely by .65 and .85 to get the range).

Unless you are running while holding the huge *** exercise ball, you won't achieve that. ;-P

You need to do something like run, jog, swim, tennis, jump rope, bike, kickbox, etc. for 15-30 mins a day, 3-5 days a week if you want to lose weight.

The purpose of the exercise ball is to do toning. To add a bit of muscle on your body, which really won't show too much unless your body fat is low enough. So it's good in addition to the cardio exercise so that you'll be thin and hard. You don't /need/ the exercise ball to do toning, there are plenty of exercise variations to do without it by the way.

I don't think it will help you in loosing weight. It would help you in toning up after you have lost the excess weight. To lose weight, a person has to reduce the calorie intake by some amount by modifying their diet. For long term fat loss, an exercise program should consist of a combination of weight training and aerobic exercises. It will help firm the muscles, but it's not going to burn many calories. Remember, you have to burn 3,500 calories to lose just 1 pound!

So, if a lady walks 2 miles a day (30 minutes) and burns 175 calories, it will take 3 weeks to lose just 1 pound!

Diet like Kimkins don't need exercise to work fast. Check out the site, read the Member Comments at the bottom of the page. That's the way to lose weight!

I didn't lose weight from using the ball, but I definately got toned. I lost weight by cutting carbs and eating healthier.

It definitely works. Just gotta use it right. Its better than those ab machines you see in infomercials, and it is cheaper, too.
