Oh! I know!
Hold your breath, then drink some water. Don't let go until you feel the water go past the muscles in your chest.
What this does, is reset the muscles so that they stop Spazing.

If you hold your breath for a very long time, almost until you go red they might go away if not tell someone to scare you when you are not looking so it is most unexpected. I am not 100 percent on tyhese because it depends on the type of person it works with.
The reason for hiccups is the way you breath. if you are breathing at a speed you are not used to you will get hiccups. if you avoid this you won't get hiccups.
I hope this helps!

Hold your breath and take as many sips of water as you possibly can. Breathe, then repeat several times. Another remedy: breathing into a paper bag.

Hiccups are often caused by swallowing large quantities of air while eating. Often just by belching several times very deeply will cure them. Eat more slowly and take smaller bites. Drink water frequently during your meal. It will make a difference. Straws probably shouldn't be used, as you swallow the air in the empty straw before you get any fluid sucked up far enough to drink.

Have you tried water upside down ? It works!
Bend over and take a few sips from a cup (you need to try it to figure out which side of the cup you'd be drinking from- it's a little hard to visualize).

uhhh well when i first got hiccups nothing ever worked for me either, but i find that if you get a glass of water, and bend over, put the cup to your top lip, tilt your head further down and drink a few gulps like that, then i find that that worked.

I keep a small can of pineapple canned in its own juice, chunks or tidbits or crushed, on hand at all times. Whenever hiccups strike in my house, I feed them or myself a tablespoon of natural pineapple juice. I have NEVER seen this fail. It is quite palatable and better for you than a teaspoon of sugar. I've used this method for 25 years!

Hiccups are caused by the irritation of the Phrenic nerve, which innervates ur diaphragm.
Drink cold water, or eat something bulky.

Drink water from the wrong side of the glass. I know thats cliche but I swear to the lord above it works. What you do it you bend foward with a glass of water, and drink so that your chin is inside the glass....Make sure water doesnt go up your nose though.
