help..people with computer knowledge...how can i find out if someone is..?

getting information about me off the computer, and what they are using it for. Have had child support check stolen and cashed in my name. Weird things have started happening since the state got my sons biological father for child support after 13 years. I know he tracked us down with computer. Also can a cell phone be tracked to its location? He lives in New York and I live in Maine. He calls every night now, but nothing adds up. He knows what my son looks like and what size he is and he has never seen him. He wants to send my son a cell phone, but there is no reason to at all. Nothing this guy says adds up to make sense at all. We feel like we are being watched, and my son saw some one in our yard the other night as we were pulling in. It only takes 6 hours to get here from New York. Hid dad also told us he lives in suffern, but his number is from hackensack. He talks to me like he is in a gang and says "he owns suffern."

I'm keeping record of all the things that don't add up and they add up to being stalked by using the computer, and other people involved. This is a guy who tried to get a mexican gang together to kill my father. I am so worried about my son. We moved up here to get away from him.

It is very easy to gather personal information about people. All you need is som basic info like name, Social Sec #, and there are services that will give a complete rundown on that person.. They call it background checks, and there are thousands of companies on the Internet that do it... for a fee of course. For free, you can also get all kinds of info as well from online phonebooks

Yes, some cell phones can be tracked, usually by emergency personnel. BUT there are some new phones out there, for kids, that will show the person with the "master" phone, where that phone is on a map. Even without that kind of phone, your son could still SAY where he is.

If you're in Maine, you're probably in a "small" town. I would call the police, and ask them to have an officer stop by your house when convenient. While reports can't be filed and they may say there's nothing they can do, there will be a record of the visit while building a neede positive realtionship with the officer and department. Also ask them what's the mnimum that has to happen before the CAN do something, and also any recommendations they may have to help ease your mind. Show them your "log" of the things that don't add up. It sounds like the dad is mad for finally having to pay support.

why are you asking for help from strangers call the cops an just because his phone number is hackensack means nothing I have one for Hempstead Long island and I live in Connecticut yes the company and police can track a cell phone to its location and getting info from computers is to easy these days as for the child support check being cashed with your name call them an explain what happened CALL THE COPS NOW

some people where selling cell phone no on the net and info. i keep my ex who owes me support track of via the net.

id theft is to easy be careful what you post. call the police and start making reports.

I say....I thought I had problems happen to me...Look, get a program that enables you to be a stealth bomb while online...Maybe a friend could get you a phone in their name...Record everything and turn the tables if you can...Draw him out and force him to make a make in a non offensive way...Get video camera ready.....He sounds like he will make a stupid move....Be strong and seek more help locally.
