I just want an address or e-mail.
He left 3 days ago for boot camp.
He doesn't have his own e-mail - i think the navy gives 1 to you.
I have his SS# so we are close (he's not holding info from me)
I talked 2 him the night he left and was w/ him but he didn't have anything & he had 2 send his phone home when he got 2 camp.
His parents don't have any numbers 2 contact him by either.
He left in 1days notice because he chose to leave early.
He's not stationed yet.
(He hasn't been there long so I don't think he's had time 2 contact me & also try not to leave other comments I just want an address not life advice about why don't I know this info already) thanks

Give it a little more time. When first in basic, you have to fill out and mail a contact card, normally to your parents. It may be a few days before he can get to use a phone and then for only a couple of minutes. His recruiter may be able to give you some help. Just remember, He hasn't forgotten about you, in fact, he is probably thinking of you a lot. He just hasn't had a chance to contact you. When you do get his information, please encourage him. Let him know how much you support him. Tell him that while you might miss him dearly, you will be there for him when he completes basic. This time away is as hard on him as it is on you, but in the long run, it will be worth it.

When a recruit gets to boot camp he is given a card to fill out and send home to his family. The card will have some contact information and lets the family know the recruit arrived alive and well at boot camp.

He will not receive any mail or be able to send any mail for at least 2 weeks, and maybe longer depending on his company commander.

As for phone calls or e-mails? Forget it. Give it some time and he will contact you. If it is an emergency (and it had better be a REAL emergency), you can talk to his recruiter and find out how to get in touch with your guy.

Go talk to his recruiter they can usually get you the info. Iif not then you'll have to wait for a letter from him. He should have been able to call his first or second night there. He won't have access to email until after bootcamp. His first frew days are going to be busy and I'm sure he'll get a letter out soon. He'll most likely have time tomorrow to write his first letter.

You can't contact him until he has a unit assigned to him in basic training. He's going to have to contact you first, unless there is some emergency and you know what base he's on for basic. Then you can try to contact the Base command office.

Or you can ask the person who recruited him in. They usually know where he's been shipped to. He should have had orders that said where his intake was going to be happening.

After a few days he should be able to call home and give his parents an address, after that probably able to use the phone once a week for about 10min.

OK first of all, when you first leave for boot camp you are not allow contact with family at all till you finish it. So dont worry about it. As soon as he is given contact info I'm sure he'll notify you.

Not much communication in boot camp. I think they get to call when they get there to tell them they are OK and that's it. He should get to write you very soon. Write him often, every day if possible. He may not get to write to you that often, but will enjoy the letters from you. After boot camp, he will be able to communicate much more.
