I was originally thinking of having orangish (peach, coral, papaya...whatever shade you want to call it) dresses but many of the bridesmaids weren't crazy about that color. I want them to be comfortable so my sister and I thought a neutral colored dress would look nice and I would have bright accent colors. Now my problem is what colors? Beige? Chocolate brown? A lighter brown color? I like the idea of brown and pink. What do you think? Any ideas would be helpful! Also - the wedding is in June - it is outdoors and casual.

brown & pink is beautiful!

Or, you can always go with a copper or tan dress and then accent the dress with all of those gorgeous colors you described in your question. The nice neutral dress color would work beautifully with the casual outdoor setting (and the girls might be able to wear the dress again). It would be a great back-drop to the dramatic colors you are interested in. It would be beautiful!

Did your bridesmaids actually try the color of dress on and then say they didn't like it? If not, encourage them to try it on just to see what they think - a lot of times the idea of a color is scarier than the color itself. I think a lighter brown color would be pretty...beige...even a peach color maybe?

ask them! not everyone feels (or looks) good in all colors...
pick several colors, and (a limit of 3) patterns, and let them choose. if you know someone that sews, or can refer you, will be the best way to go. when my oldest sister got married, the dresses were the same...it was awful, then we had ugly dresses hanging in the closet, and couldn't even give them to goodwill. when my youngest sister got married 2 years ago, it was great, we all had the same color, and picked our pattern. now, i have a dress that is comfortable, and i can wear it again..to another function.
there are 2 other weddings that fall into the same PIT OF HATIES
as my oldest sister....
think of all of the weddings that you have been in, and to...if the bridesmaids are not happy, YOU will be upset too!
i eloped, so i didn't bother anyone!

OK, traditionally all of the bridesmaids wear the same color same designed
dresses.

Because women come in different forms, people sometimes use lots of
different designs but all in the same color.

How about going the other way around? Use all the same design but
the favorite colors for them.

This might work if your bridesmaids are all similar.

If they have all different body types, however, then everybody will
just look uncoordinated.

I say go with the chocolate brown. Not only is it pretty but it is in this season so there should be many dresses in that color to choose from.

i like the chocolate brown dresses. maybe you can find a sash or something to put on the dresses in the orangish color you want as a compromise. but do keep in mind this is your day and your friends should accept what ever decisons you make. after all, their turn should be coming up and you'll have to do what they will want too.

Chocolate brown and light brown both look great with turquoise(the color of the Tiffany box). Pink is also great! But for some reason I think turquoise would be more elegant.

Not everyone looks good in brown/beige. Dusty Rose and Teal are both good colors for any complexion and blues and chocolate brownsare really cool together.

Go with something lighter if it's in the spring. Maybe a light brown and pink.

Or you could just do pink, or pink with brown accents because then you could go with a darker brown. That would be pretty.

chocolate brown and light pink go grest together, I would go with maybe a tan dress with a chocolate brown tie (goes around front and ties in back. Not a dark tan, a light tan that will match the pink.
