It might be embarassing to u but get a doctors letter and then the teacher will have to let you no questions asked.

This is what is called a catch 22. Teachers always want students to use the bathroom when they need to however, many kids just use the restroom as an excuse to hang out and get out of class. Many kids do do that.
What you need to do is tell the teacher it is an emergency in a quiet voice so no one else hears. Or have your parent or doctor write a letter to the principal so that it is confidential. They can't legally continue to do this. A child can not be denied bathroom privileges.
I have heard of schools that allow a certain amount of passes a semester. Once they are used up the kids can choose to take a detention in order to use the restroom. Sounds ridiculous and as a parent I would strongly object to that too.

Here's some wisdom I wish I had when I was a kid:

When you are being mistreated, sometimes you have to take matters into your own hands.

First, attempt to do the right thing. If doing the right thing doesn't work, do what is best for you EVEN though others may tell you its wrong.

Next time you have to go really badly, ask the teacher for permission to go to the rest room. If he or she says "No" then hold it for as long as you can. When you feel that you can no longer hold it, or it becomes painful, ask again. If he or she still says no, JUST GET UP AND GO WITHOUT PERMISSION
You may get a discipline slip, or sent to the principal's office for this. That's okay. If you get in trouble for it remember to be respectful when explaining why you did what you did. Explain that you have a problem. Keep doing this until either your teacher starts letting you go to the bathroom, or you get in alot of trouble for it at school. If you are lucky, you will get in enough trouble for the school to call your parents. When your paents find out that you have a problem, and that your teacher won't let you go to the bathroom, they will probably get angry and go to the school to straighten it out for you. I am certain that they would insist that you are allowed bathroom breaks as necessary.

The best way to solve this is to have your parents take you to the doctor to confirm your issue. Then, your parents need to give this information to the school nurse AND your teacher.

This comes from experience. I'm a teacher and I've had students with similar situations. If we know that there is a problem, we will then trust that you really need to go. Most teachers don't allow students to go because they usually are playing around in the bathrooms or hallway and are missing out on valuable information.

I hope that this is helpful to you and your parents.

Happy learning!

First of all talk to your parents when you get home. Let them know how often this happens, also talk to your doctor. He can and will write you a letter stating they have to let you use the restroom when ever you feel pressure. Both of my youngest have the same problem, and I made sure to get it in writting before they even went to school. Once a doctor puts it in writting they are breaking several laws if they fail to let you go.Not only can your parents press charges once the school has the note they can also sue them.

This question distresses me. Teachers today are not really connected with the students. I hope you gave this teacher, and the school nurse the total explanation as to what the problem is with you. If not, you certainly need to. You deserve special treatment, and don't take this lightly. They need to know that you have special needs, and oh my God, don't ever feel bad about something like this. You should be able to just leave, discretely, without any questions. If you haven't given a note to the school please do. I hate to see any person suffer needlessly. Good luck to you.

it is illegal for a school to not allow you access to the bathroom, if you frequently need to go, make sure the school nurse knows that you have a bladder condition and need to make frequent trips (some kids just do it to get out of the room)... You will need a note from the doctor, not just your parents... for the school to take it seriously that way they know you really have to go.

...maybe try and explain this to your teacher in a mature way instead of her maybe thinking youre just joking around....if you know you have a small bladder and have these problems then why dont you be prepared and go between every break.....so you wont be so busting when you really do need to go.....or as everyone else sais...get that doctors certificate!!!

I'm a teacher, so let me share our side of the story. I give my students breaks during the day to use the restroom. Many students choose not to go then and later ask to go during a lesson. It's the same kids every time. It's always when they have to work or worse, when they have to sit still and listen (the horror!). It's bothersome as a teacher because they're interrupting the lesson to do something they should have done earlier. Often they aren't really using the bathroom- they're going to play around and end up getting in trouble with some other teacher. It's annoying to have your students get in trouble by other people- it's a poor reflection of your teaching. Even though you might not have to REALLY go, at least try during the times you're given. If you empty your bladder then, chances are it won't be full at the inopportune times. It's not that we're Nazis and don't want our students to pee. It's a natural part of life that must be considered. As a PREGNANT teacher though, if I can hold it in til the end of class, so can you. If you really do have a small bladder and you really are going at all the times you're allowed to go and STILL have to go, get a medical note. The techer won't have a choice but to let you go, and she'll be understanding of your need. Again, try your best to go when you're given time to go, and try to limit your own trips during classtime to a minimum. I don't mind when my students ask to go during independent work. It's in the middle of the lesson that really gets on my nerves. When people train themselves to go at a certain time every day, their bodies DO adjust. You have fellow classmates who abuse bathroom "privleges" to thank for your teacher not letting you go. Please get it in writing that you have a small bladder so you won't have to worry about it anymore.
