Take a really hot bath with lavender oils or a different scent that you enjoy. I have sciatica, so there's not much more I can do other than that, and take the meds that were prescribed. Hope it helped.

Well message help but applying heat to the area really helps as this cause capillary to expand and damage repair is faster and toxic byproduct generate by intense exercise is removed. So just message, apply heat (hot water bath or electric blanket) and also plenty of rest and sleep.

hot soaks in the tub. aspirin. stretches (if your thighs hurt, try standing on one leg and touching your other leg to your butt and holding it ... may not be possible if you aren't i a little bit of shape. If you calves hurt place your toes on something about 2-3 inches high then place your heel of the same foot to the ground)

I put on those stocking that hold your skin tight so that your muscles can get relaxed but yet they hold your leg tight for the muscles to constrict. And the pain does go away. You can stand or walk more comfortably.
