It is none of those, merely impossible. Terror is an emotion, how do you fight a war against a feeling, could you have a war on preferring blonde's to redheads? As to a war on Terrorism, same problem. Terrorism is the act of using terror as a weapon, how do you wage war on an act? Could you fight a war on the act of pulling triggers? The very idea was ludicrous from it's inception.

The war is neither!!! All we are doing is protecting our freedom and trying to give the same freedoms to countries that are under communist rule. There is nothing unethical or immoral in that!!! We should not leave until the job is done!!! SUPPORT OUR TROOPS

First of all you must prove that the war on Terror is Illegal and Immoral before you try to convince someone to answer this incredibly stupidly written question. You are assuming a cause the then applying a question to it. Your cause is bogus and so is your question. If you wish to have a logical answer, ask a logical question, not one based upon partisanship.

How is self defense and the preservation of ones way of life immoral and unethical? Especially when that war is conducted against (to paraphrase Winston Churchill) the strongest retrograde force in the world.

No. just ill-advised,thoughtless and unending. Military force against terror is like a hammer against quick silver. The elimination of terrorists is primarily the work of police and intelligence ie:Identify-Contain-Eliminate.

Your research paper should be on why a professor gave you such a improper question. If you came up with the question, why?

Another question is what makes terrorism moral or ethical? It depends on what end of the bomb or gun you happen to be on.
