Anything you do that's unusual is going to get more looks than usual! That goes for interracial dating, adopting from another race, homeschooling, dying your hair green, being in a car wreck, etc etc etc etc.

That said, there are neighborhoods in this country where racism is unfortunately alive and well. Sad but true.

To be treated as part of the norm, try to live in an area where that is more common and multiculturalism is embraced. That's realism.

There isn't anything wrong with it. There's just so much history that people always keep in mind that blinds them from finding what's really important - love. Blacks, Hispanics, Whites, etc. all were brought up learning that certain races did something bad in the past, but rarely does a race teach future generations how much good another race is. If everyone, would forget the mistakes others did in the past and try to ignore it, interracial relationships would be common.

Some people are still backwoods hilljacks and don't understand that things are a lot different today than they were 20 years ago. It doesn't bother me when I see two guys walking hand in hand together. That isn't my style, but what do I care. I am a white male and have seen many hispanic or blacks chicks that I would like to date.

I really don't know... The stigma of the past haunts us to this very day. All I know is I don't give a rat's a55 about interracial relationships. If two people want to be together then so be it. We may look different on the outside but we're of the same makeup on the inside yes?!?!?!

Because although it's 2006, lots of the people around us grew up years ago, when it still was a problem, and were brought up by parents, teachers, and others who taught them that it was a problem. Give it 50 years and it'll be better. I hate it, but its the truth.

l am not personally against it but it is always going to be an issue. I have friends who are married to black or white women and what the world needs to realize is that it is going to happen so accept it. Whether people think it is right or wrong. It is what it is.

Perceptions... Personal Preferences...

Some people even put a religious spin on it. Why do you worry what others think?

I personally don't see a problem, but the people who do I think are just racist.
