they went out on a mission as missionaries for Jesus Christ offering peace in His name upon those and the homes in which they were welcomed.

Being that the core 11 out of 12 stayed faithful to Jesus, I would say each of those 70 fell away 1 by 1.

The seventy (-two) returned rejoicing.

I don't know how to break this to you, but that entire book is nothing but a fairy tale. Please don't take this too hard, but neither those 70 men nor that jesus character ever existed.

They're fake.
