I heard Lamotrigine is a generic form of Lamictal. Does anyone know? Thanks!!!

Lamictal is the brand name of the drug "Lamotrigine" there is no generic form of this drug. (I have been taking this drug for 5 yrs)
For a while its been used at a "anti-seizure" medication and currently also as a "mood stabilizer" (why I am taking it).

Please check the side effects. To start off taking this you have to start at a very low dose and very slowly otherwise you can develop a serious but rarely fatal rash..

Below is the official site. Yes, its FDA approved and they also have a program for people who cannot afford this drug.
