Neither Britain nor her Commonwealths regulate coffee. You get the best coffees on their shelves ,, on account that neither the local product nor the import brand is restricted. From these places you get cheap and powerful coffees ,, often with little finnesse. (Americans especially love this black muck ,, far better than their civilised version of coffee.)(Or the British version ,, looking at the price tag.)
The US is caffeine restrictive and as you go down the whole list of US regulations on coffee ,, to put your stuff on the US shelves ,, you end up with a "greenish" tasting version of coffee ,, you cannot find anywhere else in the world. Because this is what coffee drinkers don't like to drink. This is a very machines friendly version of the stuff ,, you hardly need to clean the coffee maker machine if you use US-Grades.
(The Commonwealth's "black muck" tends to kill the machine.)(While the British coffee is "pure" coffee ,, Commonwealth coffees are slightly "gummy".)
I have made friends with people I don't even know because my American friends loves the Commonwealth coffees ,, and I got lots of cargo space then when I travelled. So they pass it on to their friends. .. and somehow in the mess , I got the name "Room 325".
( 2.)
Tea is very specific and is derived from 1(ONE) species C. sinensis syn. C. assamica ,, leaves therefrom. And roasting is rather "clean" in that one of your Commonwealth's tricks is to roast coffee with a little butter to lift it's taste. There's many local ways to raost coffee and they invariably involve an "inclusion" above the rest.
Coffee is derived from the arabica , robusta and liberica at minimum ,, with some of Amazonia using another plant of no relation to the Coffees as inclusions.
Mighty messy stuff , but I love it.

There is Instant Coffee - Nescafe. You add it to boiling water, stir and enjoy!
There is drip coffee, water is slowly poured through a large quantity of coffee into a pot. Drip coffee tastes weak (yet it is not).
There is Espresso coffee - it is not an express version! Its an Italian word. It when water is pushed though packed coffee with the use of pressure. This coffee is very strong, and most popular. It can be made into Cuppacinos, Lattes and many other variants.
Coffee is a bitter drink. Most people take sugar in coffee, but a few people do not take sugar. Coffee isn't sweet and will take time to acquire the taste. But once you acquire the taste, you will love it! Sugared coffee is more accessible, but I personally prefer black with no sugar!

I drink the two, in equivalent-ish parts, relies upon on what I fancy, yet continually decaf. For some reason, if i'm hungry i decide for a espresso. i think of the greater flavour tricks me into thinking i'm eating something. If I in simple terms want a drink i decide for tea as I findit greater fresh.
