I just married Aug 19th and since then my work is now trying to dictate my life they knew when i was hired that i have limitations and will be needing to take my wife to the docs alot and for my self also as we both have medical issues, my wife cant work and im not supposed to be working full time, well as is im a volunteer Firefighter too, so the delivery place i work for has more or less told me i should get a divorce and quit the fire dept and devote all my time to Domino's whooops i slipp on the name lol, yes im a driver and working 48 hrs plus a week for tips and small wage of 5.15 an hour which now i will only be solely on tips cause base wage will be takin away due to new policy going into effect. So what should i do stay and take the abuse or just quit and see where the road goes from there.

There are alot of delivery places. While you are out, write down the numbers when you see them, If you run into other drivers ask them how the wages at thier restaurant. Call around and see who is hiring. Find another job. They are abusing you and legally I do not even think they can make you work on tips alone and not a salary. Every job I know that earns tips is also paid hourly.

Get a new job and be happy with your family!

Im really sorry it really seems like you are trying hard to take care of yourself and your wife. Dont let your job do that to you, they just care about there interest. You are doing the right thing by putting your family first and I wish you all the best. Let your job know that you cant be there 24/7 for them that now you have a family and that is your top priority. I wish you luck. God bless you and your wife!

Start looking for a new job that will make you happy and is more compatible to your new life, if possilbe before the new policy goes into effect. Never take the abuse!

Hi, I am Patrick's wife, and it seems that alot of you have great answers for him. Partly the only reason he continues with his work with his current job is because of my health. His is bad but mine is worse and because of that he fears that if he don't work we will loose everything. But he loves me dearly and would do anything to help me out. I am an author while he works in a regular job. I just hope that his current work doesn't drive him insane. I can not lose him, he is my everything.

try applying for a firefighter position or find out when a position becomes open. don't quit until you find new work, even if your current work is a hassel. try going online to look for positions.

try praying!

Stay for now, but look REALLY HARD for another job.
Never burn a bridge until you are POSITIVE you will never need it again.
