turbidity means the lack of clarity in the water

there are many things that can cause water turbidity

there are many definitions of "pollution"

many things that cause turbidity in water would not be considered "pollution" by most people (example: algae)

many things that do NOT cause turbidity, would be considered pollutant (example: clear hydrocarbons, like gasoline)

While turbidity in water could be caused by pollution, they are not identical. Turbidity refers to minute particles suspended in water. These particles might be from natural sources, organisms that normally live in the water in that particular ecosystem. And some undesirable forms of pollution can be in water without causing turbidity.

turbidity is considered as pollution for one reason, which is decreasing the chances of sunlight to enter as far as possible and nourish marine environmnet. if there is marine environment who depends on sunlight then any stuff causing the water turbid (pollutanting or non-pollutanting) is considered polluting because it is harming the ecosystem.

depends. every environment has a natural level of turbidity if it is higher than that it is bad but it is probably bad if it is below that level too.
it also depends on what is making the turbidity high. it may be ba but it probably woudn't be considered polution if it was dirt from the surrounding environment.
