When you like someone dispite thier physical appearence, that's mature feelings. It is possible to be the most beautiful person on earth and the ugliest at the same time. It's what's inside that matters the most.

Absolutely! Like the other person said, it's a sign of maturity, and it's a great thing. If you go through that door, you will probably meet the love of your life that looks nothing like what you've fantasized about for the last however many years.
I have a preference for tall (6 ft and taller), slightly heavy (200lbs or more), big boned, muscular men (the football player build).
However, I have been dating (for the past 3 years) a guy that's maybe only 5'8" tall, and perhaps 170lbs after a full meal. He's not universally attractive (those people that EVERYBODY finds good looking). But he is attractive to me.
And even though he's not the man I dreamed about on the outside.. he is fantastic in every other way. He's good to me, he loves me, he came to my house after putting in an 8 hour day and laid a whole new wood floor upstairs by himself (1600 square feet of labor), when I was sick and in the hospital for two weeks, he took my three dogs to his house. He pays for all our dates (even though I offer). And when we are together he does what ever he can to make my day easier. He makes me laugh.
I could go on and on about how wonderful he is. But more important for you is to look what I would have missed out on if I had passed him up in HOPES of meeting my perfect physical attraction. Not a gamble I wanted to take.
And remember this.. YOU might not be her physical ideal either. But she may feel for you the same way that you obviously feel for her. Don't let looks stop you from what could be the best thing in your life.

i feel you bro! there's a girl that i have feelings for but is not that attractive. i decided to give her a chance because i don't want to be shallow anymore & she turned out to be a great girl! i'm glad other people think that's a mature thing because i keep getting afraid i might be making the wrong decision
but i'd rather be with the BEST person than the PRETTIEST person

No, your not.. Physical attraction is what's shallow coz beauty is only skin deep.. hehehe!! You're attracted to the real person, what she is inside and not just the cover...

Its means you are becoming less shallow. You are liking personality and thats not such a bad thing...contrary to popular belief, beauty is not only skin deep.

Its very normal. I fell for this balding fat guy once but loved him to bits. He made me so incredibly happy even though he was ugly. My friends thought I'd gone mad but soon realised how much i loved him.
