blower motor switch only works on high what can be the problem they say its a resistor and where is it located on the vehicle. Any help will be greatly appreciated.

The trouble is in the switch it has to be replaced.

It depends on the model. Vans and Trucks the resistor block was usually behind the glove box. It you find it and remove it, check to see if it has a diode across the coils. If it does, clip the diode out and reconnect to see if you now have all speeds for the blower.

Most of the time it is the resister. Change it out, but do yourself a favour by changing out the connector as well, as it is most probably toast from over heating. Buy a manual for your ride, this will tell you where it is and will be an easy fix if you have the patients to read the instructions. Hope this helps.......
