that they are also doing major construction on the secondary roads going the same directions that you would use instead of the road under construction? Who plans this? I WANT PHONE NUMBERS. Seems like a colossal waste of time. Why not wait to do construction on Route 30 and Highway 6 until AFTER the 5 year f**k up of Interstate 80?

Stuart I know politics in Illinois are corrupt but Indiana MOST definitely does NOT have their side done. And Illinois and Indiana are not the only states I have seen this done in this manner. I've seen it in many parts of Colorado, Texas, California, Nebraska, Iowa, Wisconsin to just name a few. Thanks for answering. Peace.

Have you ever been on I 79 or I 80 in Pa. Last year they worked on a section near the Pitts. airport all summer, and when they were done it was wonderfull. Then this spring they tore it all up again and worked on all the ramps for 10 miles. There is a sign near the New Castle exit that says construction next 93 miles. You can step on it just as you enter West Virginia.

The roads in Illinois - especially I-80 / 94 - have to stay under repair so the unions will have something to do. Illinois politics are corrupt, and those roads will be under construction for the next five years. (Notice the Indiana side got theirs done on time and under budget?)
