You don't. First of all, what you may be using to pierce it may not be steryl. That can lead to skin and blood infections that may be deadly. You have no clue what kind of blood vessels may be under neith your skin, a professional knows what to look and feel for when piercing someone. Even popping the littlest of blood vessels can cause severe bleeding which also could lead to death. Also, by piercing it your self, you could get an extreme keloid scar. This is a very thick dark scar that may not even go away with laser treatments. I would hope you would think this over.

coming from someone with multiple piercings (including a navel ring)... it's better to go to a reputable piercing studio and have it done professionally. sure it could turn out fine if you did it yourself but there are also a list of countless things that could possibly go wrong. to name a few... it could reject quite easily if pierced too deep or not deep enough. also, if you do it on your own, there is the issue of use of inappropriate jewelry for the piercing as well as risk of infection due to unsterile equipement. i honestly wouldn't suggest attempting to pierce anything without proper training to do so.

You get in the car and drive to a place for them to do it. Any other way is downright dangerous and stupid. Your belly button is a lot more fragile than you think.

I would seek help and perhaps someone who has done it before. Belly buttons get infected very easy. If your going to do it use ice and a long needle and have the ring ready to go in. Use lots of alcohol and I don't mean the kind you drink.

i had my belly pierced 3 years ago. it didn't hurt at all because i had it done by a professional. i would not advice you to do it by yourself coz it might cause a complication.

Umm...don't. My wife had hers done *professionally* and it looks great.
Any savings on doing the piercing yourself will surely be offset by the higher medical bills.

Don't! If you don't know how to do it properly, you could hurt yourself... get infections and stuff. Go to a professional. It's your best bet =)
