I had a crush on a guy years ago and sometimes I still think of him - just because I think it would have worked but the circumstances never brought us together. I just think its the image of it could have being good rather than an unperfect reality of a relationship that makes me think about it - its the longing for a realistic fantasy.

Yes it happened to me even though theres a sweet guy in my life right now at times the boy ihad a crush on still flashes back into my mind. The thing is you loved that person but you cant tell them because your not sure if they will love you the same.

It's human nature.. we always want what we can't have. In the back of your mind you have a fantasy of what kind of person he is. But you really don't know him other then what you have seen. Maybe he's not all that. Maybe he's a really good looking dweeb who treats his girlfriends really badly. Stop wasting time looking back before you lose the great relationship you are in now.

Sometimes when you have a crush on somebody that you don't really know, you tend to turn him into Mr.Perfect. And it makes them even more enticing when they dont pay particulary close attention to you --- human nature --- you like and want what you cant have.
My experience...once you get to know the crush, you might not end up liking him. He might have different interests, likes, hobbies, etc,
Focus on the person in your current relationship -- after all, he's real and close to you... the real thing

I think your question should be.."Have you ever loved someone so much so that it hurt, and was the pain so bad you couldn't deal with it?" . The fact is, I have...and yes, it does.

hehe
been there done that
don't worry
if you don't think you'll see him again, it's ok
try to enjoy the relationship you're in, but you don't have to forget about him completely
try to let go of him little by little, and don't let your missing him affect your current relationship
