Cheap isn't usually a quality people want in a dog unless they are using it for a lab or some other horrible act...

Please do not get a dog. There is no such thing as a cheap dog. You have to be able to afford vet care, quality food and toys. You also need to make sure you have plenty of time to spend with a puppy. Don't get an animal just to have a toy they have real feelings and there is enough dogs in the world that don't get the care they deserve. If you want a cheap dog get a stuffed toy.

Get one from your local pound, they'd be the first to be put down and then go to The Humane Society or a local animal shelter. Often times they get pure breds but without the papers but most of them are mutts. I have 3 mutts that are the greatest and so unique. One of my mutts I was offered $1000 for but I would never let her go.

The price of the dog isn't the only thing you need to worry about. You have to get it's shots and it's booster shots. You have to get it dewormed if it has worms. You have to get it fixed. You have unexpected vet visits. My puppy was free but cost a fortune within the first 3 months of getting her. The poor thing had so many issues and was on a lot of medication and one was demodex mange (non contagious) but she was still growing and was outgrowing the amount of medicine i was suppose to give her so it wasn't working and I had to keep getting more. I had to get her fixed while she was on the medication since any stress can bring it back. While she was under they noticed her throat was irritated which was from licking her butt and they realized she impacted anal sacks. The mange can come back at any time and she would have to get the medicine again so we have to keep her stress free. Her anal sacks have to be drained on occasion. The things I've listed aren't that bad but still expensive. Imagine the cost for something more severe.

You can find 'cheap' dogs at the animal shelter or if yuo want a puppy, look at newspaper ads.

But... be careful of backyard breeders. They breed dogs for money and that's it. So, you really need to do your research on breeds of dogs that would suit your lifestyle.

This dog is going to be with you for the rest of it's life. When you go buy a puppy, you can not afford to go 'bargain-hunting'.

Go to a Rescue Center (Animal Protective League} and find one there You will be doing a good deed and the dog will love you forever, Usually just pay for the shots

You know really cheap dogs don't cost anything. They give away puppies in the paper all the time. Of course this time of year there aren't too many litters being born.
The only drawback is in most cases they won't have their puppy vaccine's and any surgery needed to prevent further population.
So for real, your best bet is to go to your local Humane Society...Those animals are guaranteed well, with shots, and spayed or neutered....and registered on top of that.
Not too many people out in front of grocery stores this time of year giving away free puppies. Ya know?
Good luck !

I don't think you should look for a cheap dog.. that shouldn't be the point.
But if you want cheap, check out an animal shelter near you, or the humane society. Going to those you should be thinking how you're saving an animal though.. not just that they're cheap.

A rescued dog. They need loving homes and they are not that expensive. You can buy one at your local animal shelter.

If you are not looking for a specific breed, then please go to a shelter and adopt a dog. For a small adoption fee, you can get a dog that has been spayed/neutered, had it shots and they usually make a wonderful companion animal.
