I have had a friend with this problem, but I am not a doctor. You should really consult one about your problem, because i dont know if you have any other conditions that would make this worse or affect it. (for instance, diabetics do not heal well)However, my friend was told this-- If you have a perianal cyst, and it is fairly recent, after it is drained there is a good chance that it will heal on its own. If, however, you have had it a while and it has formed epithelial cells (skin cells) down inside, that will not heal and some sort of procedure has to be done. It is like when you get your ears pierced- think of a doughnut. the skin is all around and inside the hole on the inside of a doughnut, and that is healed. If it is entirely healed, it is not going to grow back together with no hole. I hope that makes sense.

My husband has had this trouble for years, even after surgical repair. My best advice is to get an antibiotic to avoid an infection that takes over your blood stream and many long soaks in a tub with epsom salts. Good luck.

the only way to cure that is through surgical means, through a fistulotomy and eventually and hopefull, the fistula will heal.

your doc would take you to surgery and remove the tissue around the fistula(include the fistula ). they would leave it open to heal it is not a deep opening.and pack it,give you some antibiotics and you are on your way.
