I think personally it just depends on the child and what they prefer to play with. My 11-yo stepdaughter is still playing with Barbie and Bratz dolls. She loves the different fashions of dressing them, styling their hair, etc. So I guess it just depends on the child at that age and what they like. Hope you find a great gift!

My younger daughter is 11. She inherited all of her big sister's Bratz (and all their paraphenalia) and loves to play with them. Just last week, while shopping in WalMart, she dragged me over to the toy department to oogle the newest Bratz stuff - including a remote control car (for almost $50!!!), and hinted that she would love ANY of the new stuff.
For whatever reason, Bratz are very appealing. I have to admit, they DO look cool. I say, yes, go ahead and buy them for your niece - but make sure not to get any duplicates of what she might already have. Maybe a store gift certificate would be better, so she can pick out exactly the one(s) she wants?

Well, I am a 10 yr. Old girl. And I like Bratz a little bit. But all girls are different. You have to find out yourself. There is no possible way to find out by others. She might be the girly girly type, or she might be the tough type. Once again you must find out yourself.

not one of the girls in my kin have them- all of us have Barbie by using selection, i'm a 0.33 technology avid collector of Barbie myself. Bratz dolls are fugly in accordance to my 8 365 days old neice (fugly is a blend of a naughty be conscious and gruesome which potential extremely gruesome, in basic terms in case the term is unfamiliar) The Bratz accesories are enormously stable although, i've got offered the distant administration autos even although they are too small for Barbie!

My daughter is 7 and not into them but she was never a barbie kid either. I would think 10 is too old really for any toys. Try craft thigs. What about scrapbooking. Then you can continue to buy stuff for this on all occassions

My daughter is 11 and she is still playing with the brats. It all depends on the child, find out do she still likes the brats by hinting around. I personally thinks people shouldn't let our young girls grow up so fast by implying fashion etc.

it all depends on her. i would recommend getting her something 2 keep her busy, arts and crafts. there r alot of girlie things u can buy that lets her use her hands. i think its alot more fun and she gets 2 admire her work!!! get her a disposable camera and a scrapbook. i do it and im 13. she can keep doing it through the years as well. she will also feel more adult than if u give her dolls, but not as adult as if u give her make-up!!!!
