Do you think the Jordan have holy waters and people jump in them to be cured, I will bet you that people with aids or cancer don't even bother to jump into it and do you think that the 75 percent of the water that is in your body is holy or the 75 percent of the world waters is holy then you are in the right track.

Holy Water is a sacramental.
Sacramentals are sacred signs that help us live holy lives. Although they do not produce sanctifying grace
Sacramentals include blessings of persons, meals, objects (including water), and places.
The priest blesses the congregation during Mass.
Christians bless their meals. "Bless us O Lord and these thy gifts, ..."
Priests bless water, animals, ships, homes, and even automobiles. "God bless this home and all those who enter here."
With love in Christ.

The priests or whoever bless the normal water so then it's "holy" water.

Holy water, that is baptismal water, is nothing else than a divine water, not that the water in itself is nobler than other water but that God's Word and commandment are added to it.

WE believe it is.
Listen. If you do not believe in what Catholics do, then don't. But some of the things in questioning our faith is really insulting. I would like to know what you believe in, so I can ask you all sorts of bullshit questions. But then, I wouldn't, because I keep myself educated and I have an open mind!
