You make out that it is your own personnal Beliefs..(fairynuf).

You then get your boys in - gaining fairly high political office and push your christian agenda and your innocent personnal beliefs on everyoone through legislation through the law courts..

And then you still make out that it is your own harmless personnal belief and you aint harming anyone?

The you have people coming on here saying they can'y wait for the rapture, and armageddon, where us atheists will all be judged and damned ?

And then you claim your just nice people, and why don't people just leave you alone...

What are you?

Very nicely put... I've been looking for a way to ask this question myself but couldn't put it as well as you have... Kudos!

Please don't judge all of us by a few.
I am looking forward to the End, if it should come, but not to see everyone judged.
I want to see GOD. I want to know for sure that God exists. I want to talk to God. I want to see all the people I've loved that have passed on.

Some of our beliefs are a very good thing. For example, many of the US's laws are based on the Ten Commandments. As it should be. They're not hard to follow!

Not too long ago, I was in communication with an atheist. She was not only very intelligent, she was very kind and considerate, and respectful towards my beliefs. She realized that she wasn't going to be able to convert me...and I'm not sure if I got her thinking or not. I hope so.
Anyway, I believe that atheists are as varied as Christians, or anyone else. There are some narrow-minded, ignorant atheists who seek only to make fun of Christianity (when they don't know all the facts), and there are others who have adopted a "live and let live" philosophy.
My husband was an atheist when we met. I was agnostic. Now I'm a Christian, and he's agnostic. I don't judge him. I don't judge YOU. Only God has that right, and I'm not God.
As far as politics go, I couldn't care less what religion a person is. What I care about is if their platform even partially lines up with my concerns. Sometimes that means that yes, I'll be voting for a Christian. But not always.
Believe me, NO CHRISTIAN wants you or anyone else to go to hell. It's an awful place. There are very few people that I have ever wanted to go to hell. Actually, there's been only one: A man who used his reputation in the church to hide the fact that he was molesting children.

You seriously need to personally ask many Christians. I'm a Christian, but not how some stereotype them to be. I mean I believe in God, but I think how other Christians want to convert and keep God everywhere is kind of wrong. It's not right to force someone into believing what others don't. Many different ones believe different things. Whether keeping totally true to their faith or also believing other things. The only help I can give is to start asking different ones and not to base all of them because of what some of them do. Just try not to get mad at my answer if you don't like it. So basically I beleive God made us, sent Jesus to save us, and now God still helps others in different ways.

every group lobbies for their concerns in politics. Christians are no different.
As for people saying you'll be damned, well......what can I say...people will be people. Harsh words are thrown on both sides. It doesn't make it right its just the way it is. There are some nice christians and then there are some racial christians that speak by their own authority. What can we do? Just know that NO christian has the authority to judge you or to treat you unkind. We can be sassy sometimes, but always in humor.....at least for me

I'm a christian, however, you will never hear me push religion on anyone. My bible which happens to be a king james version and l believe every word in it but that is for me. I totally disagree with anyone who pushes legislation for religious prefferance...Father God doesn't need man's law....Oh, by the way you aren't damned everyone has a life to change, l remember when l didn't believe

Don't generalize. I doubt if a third of the people on this site are Christians. I don't want anyone to go to hell, I hope you see the light before its too late, but I wont try to force anything on you. I don't however know why you want to visit the religion and spirituality section.

I am a Christian, saved from Hell because Jesus died on the Cross for my sins. I am looking forward to the Rapture!! It tells us in the Bible that unbelievers will be cast into the lake of fire, we believers did not judge you, God will. I pray that you see the error of your ways and come to Jesus before it's too late. God bless!

most Christians are nice people who don't condemn others. i don't believe in electing Christians to office simply because they are Christians; i'd rather have someone who would be a good political candidate. as for legislation, i think it is based more on morality which is held by a section of citizens who deserve to have their voice be heard alongside others.

My beliefs are my own, and I am not going to vote for someone who wants to pass legistration that goes against my beliefs - would you?
Like it or not, people are voted into office, if you don't like who is voted in, energize the secular voting base.

People who are awaiting the Christ to come aren't wanting it in order for athiests to be judged and damned, it's because WE want to live in paradise.
