I found info on being an airline courier, where the airline uses your luggage space to ship their package, and you ride along, with just a carryon, for big discount or free. anyone ever actually do this? Is this legit?

Legal? Absolutely. I have taken dozens of those "courier" flights without a problem. You can do it easily by yourself, with out having to (and pay to) join a courier agency--- just contact the various courier companies. If you are flexible with time and can be prepared to travel within 24 hours, you can hook on to great deals!!!

Yes, I have. I took a trip to Hawaii years ago, via DHL that way.
