I have a 4 year old sheltie baby charlie. he was a showdog for 6 months, but was so skitish she gave him away. When we got him, any little thing would scare him. one time i dropped the dog dish with food in it and he didn't eat for that whole day, and on time he pied himself when my fat got scared when a door slammed and knocked his dish off a chair. hes way better now. there is only a few things hes afraid of. one is my dad, he always hated him even though my dad didn't do anything bad to him ever. the other, is baloons. hes get so scared when he sees them. for my brother's birthday there was a whole bunch of ballonons in the kitchen and he was hiding behind me all the time, lol. so cute.

Firecrackers. In my country every festivity is celebrated with lots of firecrackers. Christmas and New Year are horrible events for my dogs, poor babies! When the noise stops at last I have to go looking for them everywhere: one hides in the shower, another one in the farthest corner of the closet, the larger ones dissappear for hours in the woods.
I remember one New Year's Day, we were chilling in the garden, in peace, my dogs and I, when the firecrackers started: in a second I was suffocating under five terrified dogs seeking refuge in my arms, from a huge lab mix to a Miniature Pinscher.

One of my rescue beagles, Libby, who is very tiny, is scared of any loud sound. Her breeders inbred her and then tried to make her a hunting rabbit dog. She was scared,so they shot her with birdshot in her face and sides and then took her to the pound to be put down. A lady rescued her and I found her on the web.

She could only sit in a chair after I got her home. I worked and worked with her, and finally in 2003 she asked to be petted for the first time!! Now she is very bold and wrestles with her buddy who is one year. She is 6. But she still cowers when she hears a loud sound. Who can blame her?I just reassure her and tell her it's ok and she is fine soon.

Good luck with your pup!

Thunderstorms, Fireworks and The Snowplow. Before we started to crate him during these events, he has destroyed in the past, a brand new-still in the box kitchen cabinet, the door frame of a door, our bedroom wall and our dining room wall-twice. He is a border collie and he is very sensitive, and we love him.

awwwwww1!!!!!!! sounds like an adorable lil baby you have!!! i just love animals... my doggy is very scared of anything. a fly actually scares him too, and i am being serious!!!! lol the reason why he is so nervous is because before he was with us he was abused.... the poor thing was black when he just showed up at our house. my mom gave him a bath and turns out he is WHITE! im soooo happy he is with us, woahhh he is SOOOO SPOILED! he has his own bed in three different rooms, only eats this one type of treats, and waits until we get home so my mom will take him for a poop. i just lov ehim so much!

i have 2 dogs one doesnt like the vaccum, the other one is scared of a bunch of thing i'll name a few. he is also sfraid of ballons, he pees on himself when my dad yells. when my brother makes toy cars out of legos and then pushes them around the dog is scared of them. he also gets scared when i play my clairenet. and he burps, yes i said he burps, and it is quite funny, have u ever heard a dog burp before?

now here is a funny story. the really scared one is somewhat trained and my dads girl friend was trying to make him roll over and got scared, so while on his back started peeing and it landed on her leg.

hope this was entertaining!

My Lab is scared to death to get in my car. She will sit and just shake when she knows that she has to get in, and then she will roll up in a ball on the floor of the front seat and shake.

my dog is terrified of magazines.
when he's bad, we toss a magazine his way.. it never hits him.
but he thinks it's just falling from the sky, so whenever he hears something like a magazine, he takes off into the other room. he looks really cute when he gets like that lol.
