What do you expect, look at the slobs that are allowed to breed here. And the bigger the slob, the more kids they have.

let me just start by saying... my children are well behaved! i have a 12 year old, 6 1/2, 5, and a 3 year old. the first 3 are boys and the3 year old is a girl. when we go out somewhere, i have NO PROBLEM disaplining my children at all! if they misbehave, i WILL bust it...people around, or not! i think that americans are SO afraid that some onlooker will say something to them. personally....say something.... please do..... i will gladly send the child to their house, and they will send them back guaranteed within minutes! kidding, they actually know better. parents are really afraid these days. i will gladly go to jail for one of these children because they feel froggy! all they need is a good swift kick in the pants!(not an abuser, just a loving 30 year old mother who wants her childern to respect others!)

I have lived in many countries around the world, and you can find rude kids anywhere you go, including in France. They are not that well mannered kids that you think. It seems you only came across the good one. My brother had his jacket stolen from under him when we were in one of those nice restaurants in France.

Look at the brats who turned France into a Bonn fire, they rioted and turned it to up side down. Well mannered, maybe only when they are indoors! sometimes! In France they ban children from their establishment. Why do you think they do that if they are so well mannered!? is it only because the parents are selfish!

Mybrother, sister and I were very well behaved kids. But I agree the the way we disapline is a huge factor. Also we have so much garbage available to kids nowadays that ruin a childs behaviour, (ie. tv, schools,) We didn't have tv,(movies only) and we were homeschooled. I recommend both highly. If you are rude to people,(like road rage or dissing strangers with your kids around) or impatient with people, your kids will be too. Or the other way around. If you are too passive and let your kids do whatever they want, they will turn out roudy and disrespectful. We also have a lot of add and adhd these days.

I don't know where you are from but I don't see "brats" here. My youngest grand children are 2, 3, and 3 1/2. They go out all the time and are well behaved. It is important that the be rested, otherwise they will be crabby. That is not their fault.

My children have always been well-behaved in public. What are we doing right? We didn't use day care, provided mommy's arms and mommy's milk on demand, we didn't hit, we didn't yell, we had clear rules and expectations, prepped the kids in advance, brought items for them to color with... All kids behave as well as they are treated.

And, my kids aren't the only nice kids in the USA. There's actually lots of kids eating in restaurants just fine and a few who stand out as poorly raised. Probably this is the case in france, too. It is a european commercial, after all, that encourages condom use by showing a really bratty kid in a supermarket.

Yeah, kids in America are rude and disrespectful. Not just saying this. I was in different countries as a young child and when I came here; kids are right out rude and proud of it. It's like if your rude, it's cool, and when you disrespect others, it's funny. I can attest to this due to the experience from living in different countries and here. This not to say that there aren't polite and respectful children.

Its just the start of the major cultural differences. Its not so bad seeing kids well behaved ha? I'm not talkin about little automotons but at least not screaming at top of lungs while painting the ceiling with sauce....

What they're doing wrong is not parenting like they should. More and more American parents are becoming either afraid to take charge of their kids and show them the right way to act or they're just too lazy and self centered around they're own wants and needs.

So you love dogs and hate American children. You are one sick pile of dog ****. You know that? Moron. If you like France so much, do us Americans a favor stay there! I hope that my fellow answerers tip in on this one and re-enforce my belief of What You Are! And it looks like the little kids in France are better behaved than you are. Jerk!

US parents are threatened by SRS coming and taking their kids away for dicipline. Meaning the needed spanking once in a while. My brothers kids are the same way and my kids I cant say are perfect but they do behave because I am not afraid to dish out a spanking for out of control behavior. One bad parents make us all bad parents by law and now look at the criminal rates in the US cause kids get away with almost anything and it is a bunch of bull to put it lightly. Kids dont know how to behave or act properly these days and it is because our government controls to much....
