I rank Spinks as the 3rd best Lgt Heavy of all time behind Archie Moore and Bob Foster. Spinks was a great boxer with very good power against the fast and clever Jones. This would be a really good and close fight until Spnks catches Jones with his Spinks Jinx right hand which sends Jones to the camvas in round 12 for the 10 count.

Jones - W 50 (KO's 38) TF 54 - W pct 93% - KO pct 70% - wins over Hopkins, Toney, McCallum and V. Hill - KO'ed by Tarver and G. Johnson (average fighter) - #89 ranked puncher - #44 ranked fighter
Won 1988 Olympic Silver medal at Light Middle wt.
Great defensive skills and unparalleled speed (all this hid a weak chin)
Held titles at 160, 168, 175 and Hwy wt
Spinks - W 31 (KO's 21) TF 32 - W pct 97% - KO pct 66% - wins over M. Johnson, Qawi, Holmes[2], Conney and Musta Muhammad - KO'ed by Tyson - #42 ranked puncher - #41 ranked fighter
He became the first Light Hwy wt to gain the Hwy wt title
Won 1976 Olympic Gold medal at Middle wt
Titles at 175 and Hwy wt
We all know about Roy's skills and his weak chin. Spinks was a hard fighter to hit and a good boxer. Roy's ego would make him go after Spinks. I have Spinks winning by KO inside of 10 rds.

I at one time thought Roy Jones was the SH_T until Antonio Tarver took his as- to school. How about Marvin Hagler or Dwight Braxton going against Roy?? I'd take Spinks over Roy.

Michael Spinks, without a doubt. Spinks was probably the best Light Heavyweight of all time (Only Archie Moore could be close).
