I think it's parental discretion. I would say 5th/6th grade and definitely up to whether or not the child is mature enough.

I would say you need to determine that due to his or her maturity. If he seems like he or she is old enough to stay home by themselves then do it once if they screw up dont let them again untill they are like 17.

in my opinion, regardless of state... 14 and no longer than around 5 hours.
