I want to get a dog. But i have had no good luck with them. Here is the story i want a dog but i want a really small one and i want it to stay small. Small enough that i can take everywere with me. Does anyone have any good suggestions to what type of dog that would be a good one.

How about a Teacup Chihuahua? They are small enough for a little kid to handle but think they are big like the other dogs.

The smallest natural dog is the Chihuahua. They can weigh up to 9 pounds, and between 6 and 8 inches tall. If that seems to be too big, you could get a Teacup Chihuahua. They don't get any bigger than 5 pounds. Since you want to take it wherever you go, you need to remember that they will be nervous when going to different places. So keeping them in a dog carrier bag will make them feel a little safer. Also when a small dog breed is nervous they will become cold and will need to have a doggy sweater on. It will be best for the dog.

If you get a teacup yorkie they can stay as little as 1.2 lbs. As you should know though, you almost always have more health problems with dogs that small, and they can have issues with hypoglycemia. Check out yorkiepup.com for more info. Good luck! Oh, and remember, the smaller they are, the more expensive they are! I've seen them for over $10,000. You can usually get one that will stay around 4 lbs. for about $800.

Pomeranian. There body's are small, there is just allot of hair.

chihuhua, they are the best. I take mine everywhere, he only weights about 5 lbs.
