I am turning 40 next month and I am very excited about it also.

I feel like I worked hard for it and earned it. For me 40 is an accomplishment. Some of those years were tough, and some I wasn't even sure I would get through but I did!

If your life has even been remotely like mine you don't want to go back to being young.

Ageing has brought me self confidence, self knowledge, self esteem. I was never as happy with my self as I am now. I am looking towards the future and only see possibilities.

When I was young I worried what other people thought. Now to heck with them, I take care of myself first, and if you care about me then you are happy for me.

life starts when we've managed to make a good go of it....it can start at any decade. for me it happened to be in my early 30's when the roughest part of my life also became a period of much growth and experience, something really good. i can't wait to be where you're at!
