its becasue of the dumb *** president the US has got the the stupid primeminister we've got. I agree, the war on "terror" is basically to invoke terror. We should withdraw our troops before its too late.

There was no cause in Irag. Only true greed by sick evil people that
have caused alot of people there lives and familys.
The contracts for Halliburton a Bush uncle company and the Bremer strip mineing of Irag resources were the only reasons
for the horrible conflict. Guess what they Bush wants to continue
his sickness in Iran. It is all about control of the Oil and the military
contracts for the companies that help make war.

I have been a Marine in the US forces, I can tell you that upper ranking officers will do anything to enhance their careers. The guy sees Blair going out and he sees the opening to get in good with the new PM. It is just BS politics which cannot be used to make a rational decision regarding the success of the Iraqi campaign.
Military men are people like any other; they have o be judged for what they are
If you will recall the British General accused of war crimes by the US Marine Colonel of war crimes. The American was just a whiny careerist and the British officer was an amazing warrior (I got to serve under him once, he was the kind of guy who made you feel weak by comparison)

thats not exactly what he meant. He was basically saying the British troops are getting shot at because they are there. If they weren't, then the insurgents wouldn't have them to shoot at. They'd have to find someone else to shoot at.
He did say they have been doing good.

Oddly, he said he meant within a couple of years the next day. (For what that's worth) He did have much to say about Muslim Extremism as well, but no one talks about that.
