Sit absolutely still. The emergency crew will work their way around you.

The drivers of these emergency vehicles have probably gotten used to the type of situation you describe. I, myself, used to drive an ambulance. If you see that the emergency vehicle is far enough behind, you could try to get out of the way. Breaking the traffic law would be irrelevant since your objective to get out of the way could be helping the emergency vehicle continue through more easily and more important more quickly. Of course if the vehicle is too close to you, as stated by another answer, it's best just to sit still and let them weave through the obstructing traffic. Just go with the flow. Do what you can but only if it truly would help and not hinder.

They are expecting you to stay exactly were you are. They will use the lane for oncoming traffic (which should be empty) to go around you. If, and ONLY if, they STOP behind you make sure the intersection is clear, then move just far enough to provide a clear path.

Sit still they will go into the other lanes of traffic to get around everyone. Even driving on the wrong side of the road. They are trained professionals.

You either attempt to move as far to the right as possible or pull out in the intersection to let the vehicle by. Never, ever block an emergency vehicle of any kind.

if there is a way to move to the right before it gets to close, do that immediately. if all lanes are full dont move at all.if he still comes up behind you with wailing sirens and there is no cross traffic pull ahead an move to the right.

What until all traffic has stopped due to the sound of the siren (or when it's safe to do so) then make my left hand turn. I hate when people are sooooo friggin afraid of going past the white line that they sit there and make the ambulance or whatever wait until the light changes.

Stay still, they will most likely go around. If you can get out of their way by making the left turn and pulling over to the curb, then do so.

keep yourself calm, don't let the vehicle move and observe the intersection for any conflict so you will be prepared if there is an impact. breath deep, hold the wheel and relax your shoulders.

You scan the intersection to make sure everybody is stopped (as they are supposed to be). You either make your turn or pull to the right in front of the cars beside you, depending on how large the intersection. Please do get out of the way, though!
