You mean Tithe? That was the tax on the Jews to help support the temple and the hundreds of priests that rotated on monthly basis'.It means 10% of your income.Actually it ended up about 20% at the end of the year.

I think you mean tithe. It is giving 10% of your income to the church, as dictated by the bible.
