They have not legalized torture. They have simply DEFINED the Geneva Convention as NOT applying to terrorists. And it is NOT torture to interrogate someone harshly...especially if that someone has plans to kill hundreds or thousands of people, or they know of someone who IS planning it.
I'm sure Jesus would be more concerned with protecting the innocent.
