Why on earth would you want her to call you that? You can punish your kids as you wish but at least you didn't harm her pysically. As for your question i'd say both. You could have gotten rid of the brownies other then eating them all if you really felt that takin her birthday snack was the best punishment. Eatin them sure makes you look like a pig.

That was foul- both for her and for you. You sure aren't doing your health any good, and it will hurt your relationship with your daughter. Her birthday is something special, and you had no right to go and do that under any circumstance.
Besides, would you honestly expect that, with the stunt you just pulled, she would really think of you as the "best thang smokin'"? I wouldn't!

Why would you ask your daughter to call you "the best thang smokin'" ? And what a silly thing to punish her for. Just admit you wanted to eat the brownies and were looking for an excuse.

from a mother to a father. No you should not have punished her, they were meant for her b-day, so whats the diff. if she eat them earlier. But on the other hand looking at your pic. I think it would be better NO BROWNIES in your House. No hard feeling I only mean well, I'm in Health Care. Happy Birthday Daughter.

Both and not to be mean but your daughter did the right thing by not telling you that cause if she would have said it then she would have been lieing to you and i know that you want your daughter to be honest but look everyone makes mistakes but mabey you need to look in to getting on a program witch can help you with your weight not saying you have to but you want to be around for your daughter for a long time right and no you are not a bad farther you just make wrong choices but every body does noe one is perfect so give it another go around.

Yes, this was not really called for! You should have just punished her after the party. Like grounding her. Next time just take it easy and don't eat or do something involving a special day!
Though she should be punished for being bad.

You need to make another batch of brownies ---- gourment --- not that boxed garbage. Go to www.allrecipes.com

Then - don't eat them! Duct tape your mouth if necessary.

Buy her an extra nice birthday gift too.

Both, and you expect your daughter to respect you. You are acting like a child, grow UP and take responsibility, talk to you daughter, or better go and learn some parental skills.
Try harder
