If you want a natural look, try a dark brown or caramel, or maybe a deep red or burgundy. Generally, avoid blonde or lighter colors because it tends to look very odd, especially with streaks. Try lowlights, too--if you get it done in a salon, ask about lowlights--it makes hair look more natural and pretty.

If you want wild hair, try a red, purple, or bright blonde on lower layers, so it doesn't look odd when it starts growing out. Actually, try that for any kind of streaking--black roots with a different color hair tends to look really, really bad. Your skin tone also makes a difference--some colors will just look strange. Anyway, I hope it all turns out well. :)
