I know that Toddler is 1-3 and adolescence is 10-12. I wanted to know what catagory is 4-9 yr olds?

According to the American Academy of Pediatrics, ages 0 to1 is infancy, 1 to 4 is early childhood, and 4 to 10 is middle childhood. See the link below.

Child, pre-pubescent child. Personally, I think they should all be called "idiots," from birth to 18 (and in many cases far beyond, judging from the behavior of some of my peers...) but that term is outdated and politically incorrect.
