Weird optical effect when I cough?

Sometimes when I cough, especially if it's a hard cough, I see weird little things, almost like worms; glowing white on 1 end and dark at the other, crawling across my vision. It starts at the edges and moves inward, though the paths of the 'worms' seem random. the effect lasts about 8-10 seconds.

Well, it could be retinal Detachment. U SHOULD SEE A DOCTOR SOON!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! Because if your retina detaches, you could go blind. ITS WEIRD because I had the same thing happen, looked it up on the web, went to a doc, and he said that if I noticed any loss in sight, I should go to the emergency room immediately. That was 1 year ago, Im not blind, thank god.

this happens to me every time I sneeze and cough hard. I have asked about this too. i dont remember what causes it but I remember that it is nothing to worry about.
