My Mom and Dad don't approve of my boyfriend. And the only reason why is because he is 12 and in the 6th grade and im 13 and in the 8th grade. They want me to dump him but I love him to much I don't know what to do. Should I tell them that I did dump him but I really didn't? or should I just ignored anything that they say about him? or what? Please Help me!

First thing is you are only 13, there are going to be plenty of time to find someone. You have to think about what will happen if your parents found out that you didn't break up with him, and then the trust that your parents have for you will be broken. Think about what kind of relationship you can have if you are going out behind your parents back not a lot of fun. If you want to go out with this guy then tell your parents that you need to talk to them about your relationship with this guy. Write down the good and bad things about this guy and prepare points that you can talk to them about. The most important thing to remember is that if it doesn't work out, but it is ment to be then you guys can get together in high school. Sometimes it is better to listen to your parents they know more about things than you think, take it from someone that knows.

Hello, this is a good question. In my opinion your parents need to chill out. If you were my daughter, I would allow you to have a boyfriend but will set limits. And know the boyfriend well. And I would like to meet his parents and ask how they feel about their son having a gf. Now if I were your parents. My advise go to your school conselor let the conselor talk to your parents to chill out. Goodluck.

honey parents will never change!!!!! just ignore them my mom doesnt know anything about my past relationships at all she still thinks ive never had a boy friend and ive been in the dating scene for like 3 years!!!! just quit telling them stuff untill ur serious about someone!! believe me it'll be better but dont let ur parents find out that ur keeping secrets from them that would be bad they would'nt trust u very much!!!

I am sure your parents have a reason for you not seeing this guy. Dont start off lying to your parents. Things will be better when you date someone your parents approve of. Try talking to your parents they might like him after talking to him a little.

So your parents know that you have a boyfriend that's good.I think that you should tell your parents that you really like him.Sometimes it works when you tell your parents that he is really nice to you and what his grades are and also how he treats you.But mostly you should talk to your mom in private and tell her what I write above and maybe that will help.KEEP TRYING!DON'T GIVE UP IF U REALLY LIKE HIM!!

my mom and step dad didnt approve of my 18 year old boyfriend because i am only 15 i loved him so much. I told my mom and step dad that i was going to date him if they liked it or not. and they couldnt tell me who i could date and who i couldnt date. so just set them down and talk to them tell them how you feel. dont tell them that you broke up with him because if he calls you then you would be s.o.l !!! just ignore them trust me it works!!!
