If you want a nice working car I personally believe you should go to autos.yahoo.com or www.postaroo.com to check there database of cars. You might be able to find a great deal. You could also go to a car auction that your local police department holds. Call the Property Clerk and ask about auto auctions.

Yes you can find that car in the paper. I have done it many times. yes $1000... buy from people that took care of the car. there are very clean cars out there for that price. if you look you will find it...most likely will not be at a dealer. they charge 5000 for the 1000 dollar car.....it is not hard to do..they are in the paper all the time..get the paper from the largest city in your area..... in 3 days you will find it...

The only way I can see this happening is if you know someone who just won the lottery and they want to dump their perfectly good car and you are lucky enough to come along and buy it. Not much out there in the $1000.00 range except on ebay and you have to be lucky so that no one out bids you on a good car with no reserve.Check out ebay motors.

for $1000, you won't get much of a car.
from a dealer, good luck.
your best bet would be to find a friend or relative that has an old, but well maintained vehicle to sell.
