Something extremely frivilous would be wonderful! Because the fact is, after a wedding, most couples can not afford a frivilous gift for themselves. And they are usually showered with practical gifts at the shower/wedding.
Flat screen TV
10 $50 gift certificates for dinner (how wonderful!). Maybe throw in an expensive bottle of champagne for toasting when they return from their honeymoon
A gift basket with expensive wines and champagnes, crystal champagne flutes, chocolates, gift certificates for a restaurant or two, a night on the town (theatre tickets, perhaps), etc. Kind of an "upscale" gift.
for my sister's wedding, as part of her gift, I had made up a big gift basket with lots of things in it for their wedding night. and then I also had chocolate covered strawberries delivered to their hotel room that night as well.

Get them some perks for the duration of their honeymoon. Pay for a nighttime out, beverages and food on you. Pay for a excursion or sightseeing excursion. they might have already got the area and lodge and issues like that picked out, yet they in all probability don't have each and every minute planned or each and every meal chosen. or you may get them issues they're going to use on their honeymoon. Like sandals, sea coast towels and sunblock in the event that they are going tropical. you additionally can do something like this: Get them a set of recipes for dishes that are no longer too regularly made of their abode, or unique recipes from distant places international places. Then get them something to make the food with, like a Wok in the event that they don't have one to make fried rice.

Go to your broker and arrange to get them a stock certificate--$500+ worth of shares of a good company, either in your opinion or your broker's. They can either cash it in or save it as we did for many years, and end up with a gift worth much more than a crystal bowl!

A number of Ben Franklin's notes. A trip will come and go, gadgets get old with time, but nothing like good old green cash.

You can get a ton of stuff for that price. First and foremost, you should check their registry. That's their list of things they need and want. Otherwise they could very likely return it, which would be wasted money on your part.
