More details: For example, we live 1200 miles apart. they came by RV thru our area on the way to somewhere else. they are too cheap to rent a car so they keep asking me. I keep saying no, because i only have one car to use at the moment. The other car is without state stickers on the license plates because the Virginia DMV sent the renewal stickers to my husband in Iraq!! My mom asked if she could borrow his (illegal with no stickers) car and pay the fine if she gets caught. I said no. TWICE! She kept on and on and on for an hour like slow torture until I finally had enough and drove her 90 minutes round trip to the metro to go in to D.C. My Dad is afraid of her and just sits there like a log. She is very domineering and manipulative. Did I mention that I had a pulled tendon and wasn't supposed to be up and about? This didn't matter to her. It is all about her, the Queen Bee.

Say no and MEAN no. She has learned that if she goes on and on you WILL give in. Like a child begging a parent for something.
Be firm with her. Explain YOUR ground rules and don't let her make you feel guilty this is how she can sucker you in. She'll still love you. Remember be consistently FIRM.

Good luck!

The only way they can walk all over you is if you lay down. You did not say where you live, but if it is not with them, then do not answer the door, phone, emails etc. You have the power to stop them in their tracks, all it takes is do it. Do not worry about telling them just become invisible to them accept no calls, they will get the idea real fast, and you will get some peace and quiet in your harrassed life good luck

You can either live with it or not. Parents are not perfect and as we get older it seems that we are raising them. They have the expectation that we need to take care of them or pay them back for all they have done and in the long run parents like that really haven't' done a lot to begin with except be a pain in our asses. You either deal with it and wait for them to keel over or just lay down the law ..

Mooching and walking all over you are two different things here. Be more specific.
