How do you describe the hairstyle where you have blonde hair and a lot of dark underneath?

I remember Christina Aguilera had this style a few years ago. it there a name for it when you go to a get a hair coloring?

You would probably just ask for the top layer of your hair to be dyed and let the under layers stay how they are.

I've never done it, but ive had the top layer only highlighted, so I would assume its the same.

If you want it you could always bring in the picture of Christina and ask for your hair "like that"

I think it's achieved by covering up the inner parts of your hair that you want to keep dark, and dying the outer hair blonde. It could be a little hard to do at home so go to a salon for best results. And remember to bring in a picture.
