My older (teenage) sibling has borrowed money from me for over a year and never pays it back. She has a part-time job and is making her own money, but I suspect she wants "my" money for cigarettes. If I don't loan it to her, she gets mad and complains to my parents, then they get into an argument, and I'm afraid they'll divorce, and I can't live with that! For me, it's easier to just give my sister the money to avoid the family stress. PLEASE HELP!!!

Just stop loaning her money. I doubt your parents will divorce over a small conflict like that. Let her get mad and whine about it,.

Hide your money away in a place where she can't find it. Then, start asking her every now and again if you can borrow some money because you are short of cash. If she asks you again, you can just say you're short, but if she finds someone to borrow some from, let you know because you need some too. Don't blame yourself for the family fighting--it is not your fault.

Don't give her money. She is a bully and she is using you. Tell your parents or an adult you trust.
Parents don't divorce because of their children or what their children do. They have problems that have nothing to do with you. It is a miserable feeling for the kids when they fight.
My guess is that your sister is hurting too. It's not your fault.

If people divorced because of an argument nobody would be married. You are not your parents keeper or your sisters either. Just say no! They will all get over it.

I would tell my parents that my older sister is nagging me to borrow money when she has a job and that she smokes. Confess it all! :)

you tolerate what you allow.
Tell your sis to stop being a free loader and build a bridge and get over it.
She will continue to be a mooch as long as you give her the money !
Otherwise stop your whining !
