Hi, i need a site to see and read about animals with punchered lungs, someone has injured a freind of mines pet, and she is very upset. Animal is at vet's but they have not said how long the dog will be there for, or how she can help the dog when she get's him home

what did that person do to that dog?...you usually get a punctured lung when the ribs are broken and those are very hard to break really. I'm sorry to hear about that, but depending on how bad the lungs are at this point, she may be there for a week or so. There's really nothing she can do at home, but keep the dog quiet and relaxed as much as possible to reduce her risk of further injury. They will put her on pain meds, and possibly a diuretic to keep fluid out of her chest and lungs. Tell her i said goodluck!

I would go to the animal planet website and ask. or ask jeeves. IN a human, I think lungs can heal themselves if they are not real bad, I think... Vets can do wonderful things these days and they know how much pets mean to people. I'm sure they will do all they can. Something happened to my nephew's lungs and he's ok now. They will tell her what to do and she can call with questions. I will pray for all of you.

that is pretty serious, the dog is in the best place trust the vet and hope for the best, good luck and think positive.
