then that could mean that heaven could be nothing. like when you die that's it. your'e done. you don't have to go to hell.

and on that note maybe this is hell. and after we die, we come back reincarnated, back to earth. because all life suffers, right? maybe that's the answer! maybe i just figured out the whole secret!

Hell is translate ted from the Hebrew word Gehenna, which was a constantly burning garbage dump just outside the walls of Jerusalem. Jesus used it as a metaphor of complete destruction.
Evidence indicates that 'heaven' is most likely another dimension entirely, where the Holy Beings exists. Will there be "bliss" there? If you consider keeping the universe running bliss, then I guess so.

Heaven is taking part in the good, the true, and the beautiful.

Bliss is a consequence of that.

Bliss is not stand alone, as if God spoon feeds us that directly.

Our whole life is for the process of getting us into a right relationship with goodness that can only occur if we are absolutely pure ourselves.

Then we can enjoy heaven.

We must be made pure as God is pure (1 John 3:3)

Our whole life is a transformational process by which we are conformed to God (for those properly using their free will to do God's will and not going against Him)

If the job is not finished in this life, that is what Purgatory is for.

Although Jesus saved us, it is a matter of putting on His righteousness through our entire being.

That is a life-long process, not a once and for all justification at the altar call.

You would be very foolish to think that when you die that's it! Ive seen many things I'm my lifetime that would totally discount the idea you are trying to bring forth. If you choose to feel this way then it will be all the more surprising when you do finally leave here. I guess that would be the greatness of it for you anyway.

Its like the song goes. "we cant believe in heaven because we are living in hell"
Its so hard to think of a better place. The world is so crazy and we are surviving it everyday so alot of people think that hell cant be any worse just hotter.

Bliss is something a person experiences, so heaven can't be nothing is you're experiencing something there. You have to have some form of conciousness to experience bliss, don't you?

I think you could have it backwards.

Heaven could just be perpetual reincarnation...i.e. "eternal life"

Whereas hell would be "nothing" or nonexistence. The Bible says that if we believe in Jesus we will not perish, but have everlasting life...so it stands to reason that if we do not believe, then we will perish, perhaps into nothingness.

I know...I have thought of that...having fun ALL the time ends up not much fun...

It's like...if you get your hand cut off in a traggic ice cream scoop accident, it's not fun, but then if you all the sudden get magical powers that let you eat spaghetti really really fast, it's fun again...

If all you do is have magical powers, it wouldn't be as much fun...you NEED to lose the hand...
