If you are talking about the cervical spine, the seven vertebrae are known as C1,C2,C3,C4,C5,C6,and C7.
C1 is also known as the axis and C2 is also known as the atlas.
The hyoid bone is located at the base of the tongue.

Are you talking about the vertebrae? Or, around the Adam's apple there is a bone called the hyoid bone. That is the bone that breaks usually if someone is strangled.
