If you cant afford the vet then you shouldn't have a pet. You can afford a computer with Internet, then why cant you afford the vet? Sorry but that's my opinion. KG

I do wish people would realize you can waste a LOT of money on homemade remedies, and still not get the problem solved.

It could be very simple, like worms or impacted glands. What's a trip to the vet, $40.00?? If you don't get the problem solved, it (guaranteed!) will cost you a lot more by the time you're done with all the homemade stuff.
Do the right thing, dude!!! :-) Make it easy on the cat and yourself--get her checked out by a pro.

Its anal glands are probably bothering her. The vet can express them for you. Sorry sweetie there is no shortcut. If you let this go too long it could become abscessed, then your looking at surgery. It could also have parasites (worms), which can be taken care of very easily with the right medication. Whatever you do, DO NOT put Lysol on your cats butt. Lysol is toxic to cats. They can become very sick if she goes to lick herself and ingest the Lysol. Just have a vet look at it. Hope it goes well.

Is she scooting across the floor or licking her butt a lot? she could have impacted anal glands. You can ask your vet to clean them out, usually for under 25$...but if you do not take care of it they will burst and become even more sore for her. Goodluck! My dog suffers from them all the time...You just need to go in every 6 months or so and get them cleaned out. I wouldn't advise you doing it yourself the first time.

read my post to the last question I answered ok!!!!!!!

then you will truly understand how I REALLY feel about people owning pets who can't afford them!!!!!!!

DO NOT try a home remedy, for goodness sake, take the poor innocent thing to a vet ASAP!!!!!!!!

maybe you should consider giving her away to a caring individual who CAN afford her vet bills and DOES love her enough to take PROPER care of her needs!!!!!!!

P.S. NO pet is FREE!!!!!!!!!
