I think it''s very interesting to study homicide detective I see the first 48 daily and I just love the show I want to become a homicide detective I really really want to become one

You will need to have a degree in police sciences before you go to the police academy. Then you would work your way into the job. No one just BECOMES a homicide detective. You have to prove yourself capable of following leads and ferreting out the few bits of important information from the thousands of clues at crime scenes.

Besides the things that the other posters are telling you, see if you can get an internship or do a "ride-along" with an officer, have them take you to an autopsy, talk to investigators about what it is really like (sickening, frustrating). You have to have a certain type of personality and ability to disconnect from the circumstances. You write lots of boring reports, interview distraught families and scumbag suspects. Seeing something on TV or in the movies is not the reality.

You can study criminal justice at a community college. Then you can apply for the police academy when they hold the tryouts. You will have to work your way up from there.

You need to go to school and get a degree in Criminology that is the 1st thing that you need to do.
